why i migrated
I was thinking about the future of the website and decided to do a top-to-bottom revamp. The primary motivator was the blog, as it was becoming too cumbersome to manually copy HTML files and make slight edits for each post. I also had an issue with the songs page, where I decided I didn't like the way the media player looks or functions.
This got me thinking more broadly, and I decided it's okay that my website isn't entirely on Neocities. While I enjoy the raw, DIY nature of it, it can become an annoyance when I want to put things on the site instead of worrying about how to put things on the site. It felt like I was constantly running into walls trying to figure out workarounds to Neocities limitations.
Even though some of the pages are now hosted on 3rd party sites, I feel my personal flair still came through even though I didn't have total control in designing them.
Anyway, go have a look at the changes. In addition to the migrations, the homepage got a huge makeover, and the whole site is now compatible on mobile (more or less)!
